Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Hi friends,

Can you believe it's almost Thanksgiving?  Before we know it Christmas will be here and we will be getting ready for a new year.  I hope all of my Friends have received their Thanksgiving cards with their free pie cards.  If you did not get one I do apologize, sometimes when I'm in a hurry to get my cards out in the mail I might miss some of my friends but that does not mean that you are not special.  If you did not get a card from me it might be because I don't have your home address or with time comes age and with age comes memory lapse, so give me a call, 601-818-1129, I would love to hear from you.

Great Weekend

Hi friends,

I hope you had a great weekend!  I had a wonderful weekend; I went to Louisiana to visit with my family and to celebrate my godchild’s birthday.  Of course I ate too much but when you are with your family and you are in Louisiana what else can you do the food is GREAT!!  It is really good to get away for a couple of days and just relax. 

While I was there I could not help but notice how many homes there that are on the market.  We are so lucky that we don't have the high insurance problems here like they have.  With the insurance the way it is there it make's it hard for anyone to buy a home.  In some cases their insurance went up almost double of what it was before "Katrina".  I talked to my sister this weekend about her son to see how things where going for him; he had said he was going to sell his home and buy a new one.  He has decided not to sell right now due to the fact that the price of homes have gone down and he thinks if he waits he could get more for his home later.  Bad mistake, yes the home prices are down right now which is good for the buyer right?  What does he think he will be when he sells his house?  If he sells his home now and buys one now chances are he will get the new home at a better price and save in the long run?

  Our market has slowed down but we do have so much to be grateful for.  Yes our prices are down and yes we do have more homes for sale than we have buyers, but at least we don't have double insurance problems.  So if you’re waiting to sell your home when the prices go back up so you can buy another home think about it again.  The interest rates are still pretty good and so what if the prices are low, that's good news for you too if you are going to buy something else.  So don't wait, sell that home and find that perfect home now!

Cherish each moment with your children

Hi Friends,

Today I received an e-mail from someone about a child who is suffering with cancer and it made me think how lucky I am to have such healthy children.  You know when they are small and they are driving you crazy you can't wait until they are grown and out from under your feet, but just think of the parents who wish their children where under under their feet.  I'm sure this little girls parents wish she could just be there healthy and driving them crazy.  So if you will please keep this little girl, (Taylor Hanks) in your prayers and remember to Cherish every moment you have with your children because you never know when they won't be there, under your feet to drive you crazy.  Our children are a wonderful gift from God and only he knows when it's time to bring them home to be with him.

My first Weblog

Hi Friends,

Well here I go, not that I really know what I'm doing but Adam keeps telling us that it's fun. 

People that know me know that I love people, and I guess that's what I like about this job.  Most people think of Realtors as someone who just ride around in their cars all day showing people homes and that its just an easy job with big bucks, (ha, ha!!!).  There's more to being a Realtor than that.  It's meeting people from all over, telling them about how wonderful Hattiesburg is, helping them find a home that will be something they and their family will be proud to call home.  It's helping that family find their first home, no matter if they are newlyweds or have been married for a long time and are just buying their first home.  It's making a family that has just moved to the area feel welcome and helping to guide them in the right direction.  There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a family smile after closing when you hand them the key to their new home.  And with all this said, yes it does not always go smoothly.  Sometimes there is a bump in the road and that's when we are up until all hours of the night trying to work things out or to get things done in time.  So to the people who think our jobs are easy well sometimes they are and sometimes well what can I say...IT"S NOT THAT EASY.  But to those that I have helped I hope you know how much I cherish and have enjoyed working for you.
